The North Carolina Department of Transportation intends to widen and improve N.C. 16 (Providence Road) between Rea Road and Waxhaw Parkway. This work will include various improvements in order to relieve congestion and enhance traffic flow. Work for this project will include the acquisition of new right of way and a variety of easements imposed on adjacent landowners through the eminent domain process.
