The Georgia Department of Transportation intends to widen State Route 15 from County Road 67 (Ridge Road) to south of County Road 43 (Mt. Zion Road). This work will also include the construction of the West Warthen Bypass from south of Mt. Zion Road to State Route 15 in Washington County. Work for this project will include the acquisition of new right of way and a variety of easements imposed on adjacent landowners through the eminent domain process.
