The Georgia Department of Transportation intends to widen SR 15 from West Warthen Bypass to East Sparta Bypass in Hancock and Washington counties. This work will include reconstruction of the existing roadway, the addition of travel lanes, and new medians in the roadway. Work for this project will include the acquisition of new right of way and a variety of easements imposed on adjacent landowners through the eminent domain process.
